Extreme Youtube-ing these days-Kevjumba, Happyslip...

Lately, I have been doing a lot of youtube-ing and found some very funny videos (I think they are genius) and some not-so-good videos. Most of the videos that I like are from the United States. I absolutely love some of the videos and would watch them over and over again. And laugh hysterically. And being told I was crazy by my parents when they heard my over-the-top laugh.

So these are all my favorite youtubers.



Kevjumba


This is my favorite one. Kevjumba a.k.a Kevin Wu is a super funny, super cute comedian. He propelled to superstardom when his video "I Have to Deal With Stereotypes" was featured on youtube. I just love his humorous take on ordinary life and his face, ohh so cute. And some of them are so "ying". I totally love all his videos. Oh, I wanna be him.



Happyslip


Funny girl. Her real name is actually Christine Gambito. She's a Filipino. Gambito's performances typically include comedy sketches in which she impersonates members of her family. She also sings and plays the piano and guitar. As Gambito has stated repeatedly in her videos, she is notably one of the very few top users acting, filming, editing and producing her shorts completely on her own. She also a friend of Kevjumba and they did several videos together, which all of them are funny.

This guy is funny too, although not as cute as kevjumba. He tries to be as original as he can, without copying ideas from other youtubers. The jokes are sometimes sarcastic and it's a slap-on-the-face acts.



David Choi


He's so talented. His covers of songs are very nice. But he rarely smiles. This is a picture from a video dedicated to his smile. LOL. My favorites are Katy Perry's Hot n Cold and Lady Gaga's P-PPoker Face.



Back Dorm Boys


Last but not least, Who can forget the Chinese Backstreet Boys? Officially known as Back Dorm Boys,gained fame by lipsyncing to The Backstreet Boys and spawned a variety of parodies and imitations, including attempts by non-speakers to lip-sync to the Chinese lyrics in their videos. They even got attention in the United States through The Ellen DeGeneres Show.

I hope to make some funny vidoes too someday. I have an idea for a video. Will post it soon.

My mind is full of POP! .

I feel like while my body is in malaysia, my mind and all my senses are in the US. For this few weeks, I watched a lot of US dramas, listened to english music ONLY and chatted a lot of US on the web. I have kinda, opps sorry, kind of almost adopted the US slang.( the consequences f watching too much Gossip Girl and all. I believe that i'm maybe the only GUY im malaysia that watches GG. Seriously. )



Apparently, I'm too obsessed with hollywood pop culture. Most of the people that i follow at twitter are celebrities. I am finding new pop music to everyday. I visit gossip blogs occasionally and i visit fashion blogs to see what's trendy and what are they wearing. Heck, even my favourite art movement is pop art. My mind is full of POP!



I might as well imigrate to US and live there. And the state i'm living in must be California, Beverly Hills. What a dream. Which is why this is one of the reason i feel different from my classmates. They follow jolin and rainnie, I follow taylor and lily. They read mandarin,but i only know orange tangerine.

Thoughts of boredom

Just really bored right now. I have spend my day today watching lot of dramas, (90210, one tree hill, gossip girl, ugly betty, list goes on) (i know most of you do not know what i'm watching because ehem, chinese-ed)

Things i actually want to do this holiday (but still not done due to computer addiction)

1. Design a new layout for this blog.
(Not done due to twitter, facebook and internet addiction)

2. Write poems for sale. (Fyi, me and Ms.K are planning to sell our designs at an art fair on september. Still getting more info on that. Want to join?)

3. Read my books. (Internet addiction sucks!)

4. Sleep earlier. (Why cant i sleep earlier??)

Sound of silence.

I have just received a call that one of my high school has passed away. Again. Why do i say "again"is because another one of my high school just died last because of lung infection and now somebody just called and told me that another friend of ours have drowned yesterday? That is just so sudden! I just cant believe it. Why is this happening?

The story is like this: A few of my high school friends went to redang island for vacation. One of them swam further to ocean. Due to unknown reason, he lost control and drowned. None of my friends knew that he was drowning until his body floated on the surface of the ocean.

I was just so shocked. He was this funny,good looking guy who is always trying to tease me in class. We have known each other since we were fifteen, though we are not close. His charm is something i would never forget. Many girls are mesmeried by him. I still remember the deepavali card that i gave him that was written with witty comments inside. After high school we bumped into each other a few times. He told me he is studying in UCSI. Business admin. Good. We usually chatted on MSN last year and the year before, but not this year. He seldom appeared on MSN.
It was such a shocking incident to him and to all of us. The song "Sound of Silence" is in my head right now. I dedicate this song to him.

Convocation 2009






Helping at the 2009 Convocation. Seeing them wearing robes and mortar boards, I wonder how's my own convocation day is going to look like. 1 year from now, we will be throwing mortar boards and taking pictures and tears come out, remembering the good old days.
